New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) - Though this contest is reserved for Trivium World Fan Club Members only, we thought you guys should be in the know of a killer guitar competition going on at Trivium.org right now. We've seen footage of the guys in Trivium watching and loving fan-submitted covers of their songs (check the video below), so it's no surprise that the Florida metal quartet is now asking fans to tackle their intricate solos for a chance to win a Trivium trophy, Trivium prize pack, and overall bragging rights for being an ultimate shredder in the eyes of the band. The guys write from their site, "The time has come for all axemen (and women) in the TriviumWorld community to get their chops ready.
That's right, it's the moment we've all been waiting for, the Shredders Championships Part Two: TriviumSolo Contest!! Unlike Part One, this is not an air guitar contest, this is for the guitar aficionados out there. Pick your favorite Trivium guitar solo and create a video of you actually playing that solo to the best of your ability. The best entries will then be voted on by TriviumWorld members and the top three will move on to the finals where the band themselves will pick the winner!!" Find out more information right here. Trivium are currently in pre-production on their 4th studio album and follow-up to 2008's Shogun. The guys will hit the studio starting in October with producer Colin Richardson.
