The organizers of the Summer Breeze 2011 festival have issued the following statement about confirming Arch Enemy:
"They belong to the most popular and important bands in the entire metal scene, they are regularly found on the covers of European magazines thanks to their attractive blond front woman Angela Gossow, and they release killer album after killer album. We're talking about Arch Enemy! Their last studio album, 'Rise Of The Tyrant', was released over three years ago, but this hasn't diminished the Swedish-German collaboration's popularity in the least. Quite the contrary, as in the meantime the band led by guitar virtuoso Michael Amott have even foud the time and boldness to conquer such exotic places as the Maldives.
"Being able to prevail on stage in a place like that, it will be an easy feat for them to bring Summer Breeze 2011 crumbling down with their textbook melodic death metal. By the way, the band are feverishly working on a new album, which will hopefully have been released by August 2011.
"Tickets for Summer Breeze Open Air 2011 are available for 72.- Euros (excl. pre-sale fee, incl. parking/camping from this location! The first 10,000 ordered tickets include a free DVD with lots of live footage and impressions from Summer Breeze 2009.
"We have extended the duration of our big online survey here until December 31st, 2010! Please use this unique chance to actively improve your favorite festival. Many thanks in advance!"

Lamb Of God are preparing to head back into the studio and already have tours pencilled in for 2012, according to Chris Adler.
The modern-day metal master told Gun Shy Assassin that the two-year touring cycle for 2009's Wrath is nearing an end, and the US titans are eyeing February for laying some new material down.
He said: "…we're going to kind of lay low for the holidays, and then I think probably February, get together and start writing the new one which we hope to have done by the end of next year.
"We're already booked for several tours in 2012, so, we've already got the schedule rolling and a little job security, so things are good."
